MIAMI (March 6, 2020) – The FIU men's basketball team gets set for its final game of the regular season when the team faces Conference USA foe WKU at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Saturday, March 7, at 7 p.m. ET.

BY THE NUMBERS
FIU leads the nation with 195 total blocks and 6.5 swats per game. The team also comes into the contest ranked fourth for three-point defense (28.3).
Individually, Osasumwen Osaghae comes into the final regular-season contest as the nation's leader for blocks (114) and swats per outing (3.8). His 114 blocked shots are also a single-season FIUÂ record. Antonio Daye, Jr. leads the league for assists per game (4.8) and is second for total assists (140).
The men's basketball program secured its second-straight winning season under head coach Jeremy Ballard. It is the first time in program history a head coach has produced winning campaigns during their first two seasons at FIU.
SCOUTING WKU
As a team, WKU comes to the Sunshine State at 19-10 for the season and 12-5 in conference play. The squad is averaging 76.1 points per game while shooting 45.4% from the field.
Taveion Hollingsworth leads WKU with 16.4 points per game. The junior was named the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association after averaging 32.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in a split of two overtime games against the top two teams in C-USA last week.
In the first meeting between the two teams, FIU took down WKU 81-76. The Panthers shot 53% from the field while holding the Hilltoppers to 41.9% shooting overall and 26.7% from beyond the arc.
Osaghae tied his career-best when the senior tallied 22 points for FIU. Josh Anderson had a double-double for the Hilltoppers, recording 14 points and 10 rebounds.
LAST TIME OUT
The Panthers fell at Louisiana Tech 76-73 in the team's final road game of the regular season. The Panthers shot 42% from the field and 33.3% from three in the loss.
Osasumwen Osaghae posted his eighth double-double of the season, notching 15 points and 10 rebounds. Cameron Corcoran registered double-digit scoring when he tallied 11 points off the bench.

The Panthers head to the C-USA Tournament scheduled from Wednesday, March 11, to Saturday, March 14, in Frisco, Texas.
