DALLAS (March 8, 2020) – Conference USA announced the full bracket for the 2020 Air Force Reserve C-USA Basketball Championships presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.
The FIU men's basketball team will travel to Frisco, Texas as the number five seed and are set to play 12th-seeded Rice on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The pairing will mark the first meeting between the two teams in the Conference USA Tournament. The winner of the contest takes on fourth-seeded Charlotte on Thursday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m.Â
The fifth seed for FIU is its highest ever for the C-USA Tournament, bettering last season's seventh seed achieved by the Panthers.Â
Coverage of the first round will be available through ESPN+, while the four quarterfinal games will be available on affiliates of Stadium and Facebook. The semifinal games will be shown on CBS Sports Network at 2 p.m. and 4:30 pm (ET). CBS Sports Network will also broadcast the championship game on Saturday, beginning at 8:30 p.m. (ET).

The Panthers posted an 18-13 mark during the regular season and a 9-9 record against league opponents. FIU secured its second-straight winning season under head coach Jeremy Ballard. It is the first time in program history a head coach has produced winning campaigns during their first two seasons at FIU.
