MIAMI (March 7, 2020) - The FIU softball team split its pair of games on Saturday night, as the Panthers closed out play for the weekend.
The Panthers earned a walk-off win over Samford (2-1) to open the night, before falling to Maryland (5-3). FIU is now 8-9 overall on the year, as the Panthers get ready to open Conference USA action next weekend.
Jocelyn Alonso had FIU's game-winning hit against Samford, as the freshman singled to right field to drive home
Alexis Ross. Alonso led the Panthers overall on Saturday, after she earned three hits and three RBI in the two contests.
Allison Muraskin earned her seventh complete game of the season in the victory over Samford, after she pitched 8.0 innings to improve to 7-2 overall.
