MIAMI (Jan. 27, 2021) - Alessandro Campoy of FIU men's soccer has been named to the All-Conference USA Preseason Team, as the league office announced on Wednesday. 

Campoy, the reigning C-USA Golden Boot award winner, led C-USA with five goals in regular-season conference play in 2019. The Panther notched three game-winners for the Panthers last season and finished with six goals on the year after scoring in the C-USA Tournament. Campoy totaled 14 points in 2019 to go along with two assists, while finishing third in C-USA in goals-per-game (.43), shots-per-game (2.57), and fifth overall in points-per-game (1).

The prolific scorer also garnered College Soccer News National Team of the Week Honors back on Sept. 17, 2019, after he notched a hat-track and an assist against FAU. In addition to the Golden Boot award, Campoy was named First Team All-CUSA, and also earned United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team honors following his stellar 2019 campaign.
