PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (October 22, 2021) –  To open the final event of the fall campaign, the FIU women's golf team shot a 308 over the opening 18 holes of the White Sands Invitational and enter Saturday's second round in a tie for sixth place.
 
Competing as an individual, freshman Helena Noel had the best Panther round of the day, shooting a one-over par to tie for 11th after the opening round.
 
Carolina Andrade topped the Panther scorecard on Friday and is in a tie for 15th after carding a 74 to start the event. A pair of FIU linkers are tied for 25th overall after both Millburn Ho and Jordyn Hodgson each shot 75.
 
Ema Dobiasova is in sole possession of 42nd after an 84 on Friday. Rounding out the Blue and Gold scorecard, Karissa Kilby shot 86 and starts Saturday's second round in 43rd position.
