CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Women's golf finished its fall season at the UNC-hosted Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational on Sunday afternoon, tying 13th out of the 15 competing teams.
The Panthers shot rounds of 389-379-382 over the three-day invitational. The team ended 62-over the 70-par course.
Freshman Romane Poissonnier had her best weekend as a Panther, ending as the top finisher for FIU. The France-native shot 3-over par over the three-day event with rounds of 75-69-69, tying for eighth in the 81-golfer field.
Freshman Elva Holmgren placed second on the team with a score of +20, followed by sophomore Catalina Harvey in third at +22. Junior Gabriella Gomez finished fourth for the Panthers at +25, while freshman Emma Jaczkovics rounded out the lineup in fifth with a +30.
UP NEXT
The Panthers will have to wait until their official spring season begins on February 2 when they travel up to Boca Raton for the Florida Atlantic-hosted Paradise Invitational.
