Golf's Romane Poissonnier Named as a WGCA All-America Scholar

Poissonnier is the only Panther to be name to the list

MIAMI - Romane Poissonnier has been accredited as a Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar for the 2025-26 season, as announced by WGCA officials Monday afternoon. 

To be named a WGCA All-American Scholar, a golfer must be an amateur with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have played in 50% of the team's schedule year, through the team's conference championship.

Majoring in Business Administration, Poissonnier completed her freshman year with a 3.85 GPA.

On the links, Poissonnier proved to be FIU's best and most consistent golfer of the season. Starting the season ranked No. 793 according to Clippd, Poissonnier jumped up to No. 302 by season's end, scoring an average of 73.6 over 30 total rounds, and 23.28 weighted points a round.

The France native finished in the top-15 in four meets in the 2025-26 campaign, including twice in the top-10. Her best performance came at the Florida State Match Up, where the freshman finished tied-sixth in an extremely competitive 69-golfer field, shooting 71-74–70 (-1) in her three rounds played, and gaining 44.92 total points. 

Poissonnier tied for third at the Conference USA Championships, with a score of 72-76-70 (+2), playing even in round one before shooting +4 in round two, ending strong in round three with a two-under par performance.

In addition, Poissonnier was tabbed on the 2026 CUSA Golf Championships All-Tournament Team for her top-5 placement.
