DALLAS – Golf's Romane Poissonnier earned First Team All-Conference honors, CUSA officials announced Thursday afternoon. She marks the Panthers' only selection for the 2026 Conference USA Women's Golf Postseason Awards.
The France native had a stellar start to her collegiate career, ranking No. 793 in the nation in October of 2025, before shooting up to No. 302 at the season's end. With a scoring average of 73.6 over 30 total rounds, and 23.28 weighted points a round, Poissonnier solidified herself as the Panthers' most consistent golfer this year.
Poissonnier finished in the top-15 in four meets in the 2025-26 campaign, including twice in the top-10. At the Florida State Match Up, the freshman finished tied-sixth in an extremely competitive 69-golfer field, shooting 71-74–70 (-1) in her three rounds played, and gaining 44.92 total points.
Competing at her best in pressure moments, Poissonnier tied for third at the Conference USA Championships, with a score of 72-76-70 (+2), playing even in round one before shooting +4 in round two, ending strong in round three with a two-under par performance.
In addition, Poissonnier was tabbed on the 2026 CUSA Golf Championships All-Tournament Team for her top-5 placement.
The freshman is the fourth Panther selected to a CUSA All-Conference Team under Head Coach John Koskinen, who has seen a postseason honoree selected in each season of his tenure.
