"The ladies swam very well today," said Head Coach Randy Horner. "I thought we had some great performances and picked up right where we left off from the [FIU] TYR Classic. A lot of people stepped up with some amazing swims and the girls are getting faster and better. At this point in the season with where we're at in our training cycle the team is a little tired and their ability to swim fast and get the job done has been amazing. Things are looking good heading into the month of November and we're looking forward to FGCU next weekend as we continue working towards the Purdue Invitational [on Nov. 18]."

Stephanie Hussey continues to shine for the Panthers, as the swimmer won all A-Final events she competed in. Hussey won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:01.74, marking the Panther's best-ever performance in the event during a dual-meet.

Hussey also posted a time of 4:22.65 in the 400-yard individual medley and a mark of 5:04.65 in the 500 freestyle to win both individual events.

Also highlighting the day for FIU was Christie Chue, as the fantastic freshmen won four different swimming events. Chue anchored on the 200-yard medley relay and helped FIU win first-place with a time of 23.33 on the final leg. In the 200 freestyle relay, Chue posted a time of 24.43 to help FIU win the event.

The standout swimmer from Singapore also won individual events in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke with Chue posting times of 1:02.32 and 2:16.66, respectively.

Julia Miranda, Kelsie Campbell, Eriana Temperino, and Sara Gyertyanffy all took individual events, winning the 200 freestyle (1:54.55), 50 freestyle (24.03), 100 freestyle (52.93), and 100 butterfly (56.08), respectively.

The group of Michaela Trnkova, Gyertyanffy, Miranda, and Chue took first-place in the 200 medley relay with an overall time of 1:42.61, while Chue, Campbell, Gyertyanffy, and Miranda seized the 200 freestyle relay with a mark of 1:34.88.
