MIAMI (Nov. 15, 2021) - The FIU men's soccer team punched its ticket to the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship as the No. 13 seed in the bracket, as the tournament field was announced by the national selection committee on Monday afternoon.
After receiving a first-round bye in the tournament, FIU will host a second-round matchup at FIU Soccer Stadium this Sunday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. ET.
Tickets for the contest can be found

The Panthers will play the winner of the first-round contest between Wake Forest (11-6-1) and Mercer (10-7-1), which takes place this Thursday (Nov. 18).
"I'm so excited for the boys," said Head Coach
Kyle Russell. "They worked so hard and they came in fit. Every training meant something. Every game meant something. I'm extremely pleased for our group. They get to play in the second round and they get to play the game at home."
The Blue & Gold are in the midst of a spectacular season in which the Panthers claimed the Conference USA regular-season championship for the second time since joining the league. FIU finished the regular season with a 12-2-2 overall record, including an undefeated 7-0-1 mark in conference play and a perfect 7-0-0 mark at home.
"Fans are very important," said Coach Russell. "We're undefeated at home. That's why it's so important that we are able to play our first NCAA [Tournament] game on our pitch. We're extremely excited to be able to play Sunday night here at [FIU Soccer Stadium]."
The Panthers will be playing in the NCAA Division I Tournament for the 11th time in program history.
FIU last hosted an NCAA Tournament match back on Nov. 16, 2017, when the Panthers defeated Omaha by a score of 2-0 in the first round at FIU Soccer Stadium.
