MIAMI (Dec. 8, 2021) – FIU men's soccer will hold walk-on tryouts for the 2022 season on Wednesday, Jan. 12, beginning at 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at FIU Soccer Stadium.
To be eligible, you must complete the following steps. Be sure to use the tryout checklist (page 1 of 'Walk-On Tryout Packet') for signature verifications at each location.

SAAC
You must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at FIU at the time of tryouts, and must currently hold and maintain a 2.4 cumulative GPA.
Alison Riccobono, located in the Student-Athlete Academic Center (SAAC), must verify and sign off on this information
ONLY on Tuesday, Jan. 11, between 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.
Athletic Training Room (Ocean Bank Convocation Center, Room 156)
Bring a COMPLETED physical packet and the following forms to
Kelsey Greenwald ONLY on Tuesday, Jan. 11, between 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.; Athletic Tryout Release, Parent Information, Insurance Verification, Physical Form, Health History Questionnaire, Orthopedic Questionnaire, Training Room Information, & Sickle Cell Trait Information.
The internal physical MUST be performed by a medical doctor and must have taken place during the last six months. Make sure the physical is signed and stamped by the doctor. Appointments can be made at Student Health and Wellness Center or with your primary care physician (be sure to attach a business card). Schedule this appointment as soon as possible so that you can complete it PRIOR to Jan. 11.
A hard copy of your EKG must be included in your packet when you report to the athletic training room. If your EKG is abnormal and you are selected for a team, you will be required to be cleared for participation by a cardiologist BEFORE you can participate in any activity.
FIU Athletic Compliance (Ocean Bank Convocation Center, Room 154)
Bring a printed class schedule and Panther ID showing proof of enrollment of a minimum of 12 credit hours to
Jimmy Fleming in the FIU athletic compliance office
ONLY on Tuesday, Jan. 11, between 3 p.m. – 4 p.m., to get a signature verifying full-time status. If you participate in a team tryout and are added to the official roster, you will be required to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
