MIAMI (Feb. 4, 2021) - The FIU men's basketball team hosts UTSA for a Conference USA series at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center from Feb. 5-6. Tipoff on Friday, Feb. 5, is slated for 7 p.m. ET, while Saturday's contest is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.

FIU took down Florida Memorial 90-74 during a non-conference contest on Monday night.
Javaunte Hawkins led all players with a season-high 20 points.Â
Antonio Daye, Jr. scored 18 points and was an assist shy of a double-double, while
Petar Krivokapic was the third Panther in double-figures, posting 10 on the night.
BY THE NUMBERS
FIU leads the country with 615 three-pointers attempted this season. The Panther squad is also second nationally with 11.2 threes per game and 213 threes made this year. The team's 174 total steals put the Panthers fourth in the nation.
Individually, Daye, Jr. sits at 12
th nationally and first in the league with 39 steals this season. The guard's 2.29 steals per appearance ranks 21
st in the country and third in C-USA.
Dimon Carrigan's 40 total swats puts the senior 14
th in the NCAA and second in the conference, while his 2.35 blocks per game rank the forward 23
rd in the country and third in Conference USA.
SCOUTING THE ROADRUNNERS
UTSA enters the contest at 8-9 overall this season and 4-6 against league opponents. The Roadrunners are 8-1 at home and 0-8 on the road this year. As a team, UTSA is averaging 75.8 points per game while shooting 42.0% during the 2020-21 campaign.
The Roadrunners are led by the senior guard combination of Jhivvan Jackson and Keaton Wallace. Jackson leads the team with 19.6 points per game, shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 75 percent from the foul line, while Wallace averages 14.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
