MIAMI (March 19, 2021) - The FIU women's tennis team hits the road this weekend, as the Panthers travel westward, to face WKU and Middle Tennessee on March 20-21. 

First serve between the Hilltoppers and Panthers is set for 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in Bowling Green, while Sunday's match against the Blue Raiders will get underway at Noon ET from Mufreesboro.

PANTHERS HOT STREAK
FIU enters C-USA play with a 5-0 record overall, earning the best start in program history since 1994. The Panthers opened up that season 14-0. 

FIU has a trio of Panthers undefeated in singles play, with Kamila Umarova (4-0), Marina Alcaide (5-0) and Andreea Velcea (5-0) leading the way. In doubles action, FIU has two teams undefeated at 3-0 with the 59th-ranked pair of Umarova and Basak Akbas leading the way at the No. 1 spot. 

SCOUTING WKU/MT
WKU enters the weekend with a 2-8 mark, while Middle Tennessee sits at 7-7 overall. The Hilltoppers are 1-1 in C-USA play and the Blue Raiders are 1-2 in league matches.
