GREENSBORO, North Carolina (March 20, 2021) - After another successful season in the pool, the FIU closed out its run at the 2021 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, as the
Maha Gouda competed in the platform event.
"Maha didn't have her best day today, but we're very proud of her effort and all she's accomplished this season," FIU head coach
Randy Horner said. "Our team has had to battle through adversity in an extremely difficult year, but we won our seventh-straight conference title and sent two Panthers to the NCAAs. That's no small feat, so we are very happy about this year but excited about the future and what's to come in 2021-22."Â
Gouda finished 21st overall in the event, with an overall score of 244.10.Â
Jasmine Nocentini was also slated to compete in the 100 freestyle, but had to pull out due to injury. The Panther swam in two events over the weekend, becoming the 10th-consecutive swimmer FIU has had at the NCAA Championships.Â
