MIAMI – The FIU swimming & diving program returns to action Saturday, Jan. 10, hosting a tri-meet against the Harvard Crimson and Miami Hurricanes at the Doral Aquatic Center.

FIU continues its homestand after capturing first place at the FIU Sprint Invite on Saturday, Jan. 3, totaling 571 points. The tri-meet marks the Panthers' first traditional meet competition since Dec. 16, when they hosted Marshall.
Saturday's meet will be FIU's first-ever dual meet against Harvard and the 14th all-time meeting with Miami. The Panthers last faced the Hurricanes on Sept. 25, 2024.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU opened the calendar year by claiming first place at the FIU Sprint Invite with 571 points at the Doral Aquatic Center.
The Panthers excelled in the 50-yard sprint events, posting top finishes in the 50-yard backstroke, butterfly, and 100-yard individual medley. The victory marked FIU's eighth consecutive title at the annual home meet, a streak dating back to the 2016–17 season.
Freshman Pauline Zeller shined in the sprint events, winning the 50-yard butterfly (25.98) and the 100-yard individual medley (58.56). She also added runner-up finishes in the 50-yard backstroke (26.08) and the 100-yard butterfly (57.41).
Junior Diana Santamaria recorded four top-three finishes, highlighted by a victory in the 50-yard backstroke (25.41). The Málaga, Spain native also placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (24.21) and the 100-yard individual medley (59.32), while finishing third in the 100-yard backstroke with a finals time of 1:01.86.
SCOUTING MIAMI
Miami enters the tri-meet with a 4-2 dual-meet record and is coming off a loss to Notre Dame on Saturday, Jan. 3.
The Hurricanes are led by Ashlyn Massey, who captured wins in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly last weekend. Sarah Sensenbrenner has been a standout in the backstroke events.
On the diving boards, Margo O'Meara leads the Hurricanes after sweeping a pair of diving events in their most recent meet.
SCOUTING HARVARD
Harvard travels to South Florida for its first tri-meet of the season after posting a 4-0 record in dual meets this year. The Crimson last competed on Friday, Nov. 21, defeating Columbia 194–96.
Anya Mostek and Kiley Wilhelm pace Harvard in the freestyle and butterfly events, respectively.
On the diving side, Nina Janmyr and Ennika Carlson have both qualified for the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships.On the diving boards, Margo O'Meara is the top diver, having swept a pair of event of diving events last Saturday.
