Campoy scored twice in FIU's 4-0 victory against UAB this past Saturday, as he logged a season-high seven shots in the aggressive performance.Â
"I am very excited for Campoy," head coach
Kyle Russell said. "He is a top-level, box-to-box midfielder and is very deserving of this award. He is committed to his defensive role and is also one of our most dangerous guys in and around the 18-yard box. I think there are a lot more goals in Campoy's future."
FIU has won three weekly honors this season, with Campoy owning a pair and
Johan Peñaranda winning the other.Â
