MIAMI (April 24, 2021) - The FIU softball team bounced back to split Saturday's doubleheader with Marshall, as the Panthers seek to split the weekend series with a win on Sunday.
FIU won the second half of Saturday's doubleheader, as the Panthers scored five unanswered to silence the Thundering Herd, 5-2.Â
Brooklyn Linneman pitched a complete game in the 5-2 victory, allowing just two earned runs and striking a career-high five batters. The win for the freshman was her fifth of the season, which is a team-high.Â
Carmen Perez,
Kayla Whitehead,
Gaby Ruiz and
Brittany Phillips all had two hits each for the Panthers, with Perez and Whitehead owning a combined eight hits and six RBI in Saturday's doubleheader.Â
