MIAMI (July 27, 2021) - Maha Gouda and
Elinah Phillip of the FIU women's swimming and diving team are set to represent the Blue & Gold on a global stage this week, with the two Panthers appearing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games beginning this Friday, July 30.
Phillip, representing the British Virgin Islands, will compete in the women's 50-meter freestyle on Friday, with her heat officially set for 6:34 a.m. ET. Gouda, a native of Egypt, will challenge on the women's 10-meter platform dive on Wednesday, Aug. 4, beginning at 2:00 a.m. ET.
This marks the second time Gouda and Phillip will participate in the Olympic Games, after both Panthers made their debuts in the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
