MIAMI (Dec. 15, 2022) – Swimming and Diving is set to host Marshal on Friday December 15 in the Panthers' third dual meet of the season.

The meet start at 4 p.m. at the FIU Aquatic Center at the Biscayne Bay Campus.

BACK AT IT
The Panthers were last in a team competition a month ago at the Purdue Invitational.
Â
FIU finished the invite with 447 total points and took fourth place.
Â
Against some of the best competition in the country, the Panthers earned 14 top five finishes throughout the weekend. The relay teams performed well finishing in the top five in every race they competed in.

FIU also had four swimmers compete in the U.S. Open earlier this month, as well.

Sophomore
Christie Chue took first place in the 200-breast C Final, freshman
Nicole Frank finished fourth in the 200-individual medley C Final and freshman
Harliai Curthoys-Davies earned a fifth-place finish in the 100-free C Final.

ON NOTICE
FIU is in its first season in the American Athletic Conference and have made an instant impact.

Midway through the season, Panthers own 16 top five times in the conference, including three top times. Chue owns the top spot in the 200-breast (2:09.89), 100-individual medley (57.80) and the 200-individual medley (200-individual medley).

Graduate student
Maha Gouda has won The American Dive Athlete of the Week three times with Chue winning Swim Athlete of the Week twice. The duo has swept the honors twice this season, including in the first week as members of the conference.

UP NEXT
FIU is set to host the sixth CSCAA Collegiate Open Water National Championship on Sunday, December 18 at the Biscayne Bay Campus. The men's race begins at 8:30 p.m. ET and the women's races begins at 10 a.m. ET
