ATLANTA, Georgia (Mar. 18, 2022) - FIU freshman swimmer Christie Chue set an FIU program record in the 100 breaststroke on Day 3 of the NCAA Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center, as Chue posted a time of 59.86 in the event prelims.

The record marks the third time this season that Chue has set the FIU program record in the 100 breast, after Chue broke the mark twice at the Purdue Invitational back on Nov. 19, 2021. Chue's mark of 59.86 at the NCAA Championship prelims was good for 28th overall out of 43 swimmers in the 100 breast.

UP NEXT, DAY FOUR
Chue is set to compete in the 200 breaststroke on Saturday Mar. 19, beginning with prelims at 10 a.m. ET and followed by finals at 6 p.m. Gouda will take the stage in the platform dive prelims around 11 a.m.

The four-day event wraps up on Saturday, with awards presentations taking place after the finals session concludes in the evening.
