SAN ANTONIO (May 12, 2022) - The FIU track and field program is set for the 2022 Conference USA Outdoor Championships, hosted by UTSA in San Antonio, Texas.
Action will get underway Thursday with the women's heptathlon and men's decathlon.

"We've prepared for this meet for quite some time," said head coach
Ryan Heberling. "We're excited to see what we can do and execute with something on the line."
FIU has seen a number of impressive performances across the board this season. Sophomore
Rhema Otabor enters with the fourth best javelin mark in the country at 56.25m, which is also the top mark in Conference USA. Queshun Watson-Riggins will look to replicate his sensation 2021 performance at conference, where he won the gold in both the long jump and triple jump.
The Panthers have had a trio of strong performances in the pole vault, as
Filippa Miller,
Kristin Lubeskie, and Nicole Janse Van Rensburg will vye for the podium and points for the FIU women. Miller currently holds the school record with a personal best of 4.20m, set at the UNF Challenge.
