SAN ANTONIO (May 15, 2022) - The FIU Panthers have secured three bronze medals at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships heading into the final day of competition.
Qua'liyyah Taylor, a freshman, earned third in the discus with a throw of 48.97m on her fifth attempt, a personal best.
In the long jump, Queshun Watson-Riggins took the bronze with a mark of 7.58.
In the heptathlon over days one and two,
Maika Cuenca finished in third, scoring 4752 points.
Fabiola Declet was right behind in fourth, with 4668 points, giving FIU 11 points from the event.
Sunday looks to be a notable day for FIU, with
Rhema Otabor set to compete in the Javelin, the trio of
Filippa Miller,
Kristin Lubeskie, and
Nicole Janse Van Rensberg in the pole vault, Queshun Waton-Riggins in the triple jump, and the finals of track events. A live stream of day four can be
