MIAMI, Fla. – The FIU men's basketball team returns to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center this Monday, hosting North Texas for a 7 p.m. matchup on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Panthers look to bounce back on their home court after a 70-59 setback at Western Kentucky on Saturday, as FIU has won two of its last three at home with an 8-3 mark inside the OBCC this season.
 
Through FIU's last three home games, Denver Jones and Arturo Dean have paced the Panthers with averages of 24.7 ppg and 13.7 ppg, respectively, with wins over Charlotte and UAB. Jones has been electric at home over the last three on percentages of 46.9 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from 3-point range (6-of-17) and 91.7 percent from the stripe (22-for-24).
 
Over FIU's two games last week, Dean averaged 4.5 steals per game – leading the Conference USA in steals (41) while ranking 15^th in the nation in steals and 13^th in the nation in steals per game (2.4).
 
Graduate forward Nick Guadarrama also has averaged 13.0 ppg over the past three inside OBCC, including shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from three (7-of-16).
 
Petar Krivokapic has warmed up from beyond the arc, shooting 35.0 percent (21-of-60) on the season, while sophomore Mohamed Sanogo continues to contribute with 7.2 points on 75.8 percent shooting, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Sophomore guard Denver Jones paced FIU with a game-high 24 points, though, the Panthers fell short to North Texas at The Super Pit on Dec. 31, 2022, 72-57. 
 
The last time North Texas traveled to Ocean Bank Convocation Center, FIU came away with a 78-59 victory on Thursday, Feb. 27.
