The Panthers enter San Antonio, Texas, looking to snap a four-game skid and record their first road victory of the season and in Conference USA play, as UTSA sits 1-8 in the league – just a game and a half behind FIU at 2-6.

Denver Jones continues to pace the Panthers at 18.9 points through 19 games this season, ranking third in the Conference USA, on efficient percentages of 50.2 percent from the field (3
rd C-USA), 41.7 percent from three and 85.7 percent from the stripe (3
rd C-USA).

Jones has reached double figures in 15 of 17 games played this season, while having hit two or more 3-pointers in 11 games – including a season-high four (4-of-8) at UTEP on Thursday.

Arturo Dean follows at 11.9 points, while leading the squad in rebounds (4.2), assists (2.7) and steals (2.3). Dean's 44 steals on the season lead the C-USA and rank him 12
th in the nation, while ranking 17
th in the nation at 2.3 steals per game.

Additionally, Dean is fourth amongst the C-USA in field goal percentage, shooting 47.3 percent from the field this season.

Graduate forward
Nick Guadarrama added his fifth straight performance in double figures with 12 points at UTEP on Thursday, as the Newington, Conn., native's averaging 11.3 points through league play. Guadarrama's hit a team-best 41.2 percent of his looks from 3-point range through eight conference games (14-of-34), in addition to shooting 47.1 percent from the field through league action.

Freshman guard
Dashon Gittens found his rhythm again after missing a pair of games and returning against North Texas on Jan. 16, tallying 11 points for his seventh game in double figures this season and first since Dec. 29 against Florida College. The first-year's fourth on the squad in scoring (7.5 ppg), though, shooting efficient at 49.5 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
