KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Mar. 17, 2023) – Swimmer Christie Chue opened FIU's 12th-consecutive NCAA appearance with a 16th-place finish in the 100-breaststroke.
 
In prelims, she put in the 11th-fastest time with a 59.10 to secure a spot in the B-Final. The 59.10 is a new all-time best for FIU.
 
Chue would go on to finish eighth in the B-Final heat and secure All-America Honorable Mention honors in the 100-breast.

Chue is competing in the 200-breast tomorrow, March 18. Prelims start at 10 a.m. and finals get started at 6 p.m. Maha Gouda will be competing in the platform dive tomorrow as well.
