KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Mar. 18, 2023) – Swim and Dive competed in two events on the last day of the NCAA Championships on Saturday. Sophomore
Christie Chue swam the 200-breast, finishing in 23rd and graduate student
Maha Gouda dove in the platform, finishing 14th.
Chue opened the day swimming in the 200-breast prelims. She would finish eighth in her heat and 23rd overall with a 2:09.58. She closes the 2023 season as an All-American Honorable Mention in the 100-breast and ranked as a top 25 swimmer in the 100 and 200-breast.
Gouda closed out her collegiate career in the platform dive. In the prelims she scored a 258.60 to take 15th. The finish earned her a spot in the B-Final and All-America Honorable Mention honors.
In the B-Final Gouda scored a 257.05 to finish sixth in the final and 14th overall. This marked her second top 16 finish at the NCAAs after achieving the feat as a freshman.
