MIAMI, Fla. - The 36th ranked FIU women's tennis team gears up for a competitive three-match road swing in Houston, Texas, this week, as the Panthers open their road trip at Houston on Thursday, Mar. 30., prior to a pair of ranked matchups this weekend against No. 64 USF and No. 48 Rice.

The Panthers enter Thursday's road tilt in the Lone Star State riding an eight-match win streak, as a win tomorrow would match FIU's longest win streak since last season at nine matches with its first road win of the season.
Last time out, FIU finished the home slate undefeated (9-0) for the first time since 2018 after dropping No. 72 Yale, 5-2, at the FIU Tennis Courts - marking the Panthers' third ranked win of the season.
The Panthers have won the last 10 straight doubles points, seeing a pair of FIU's doubles tandems with double-digit win totals while the Panthers sit 29-8 on the season in dual doubles overall. FIU's No. 56th-ranked duo of
Yasmine Kabbaj and
Oyinlomo Quadre pace the squad with 12 wins (12-3), having earned their last two at the No. 1 position, while
Salma Loudili and
Katerina Mandelikova have thrived at the No. 3 position together, moving to 11 wins this season (11-2) upon a seven-match win streak.
Additionally, No. 62
Kamila Umarova and
Ekaterina Khairutdinova sit 5-2 at the No. 1 position, having won their last three straight completed matches.
Junior
Salma Loudili leads the Panthers with 10 dual wins on the year, holding an 8-4 record at the No. 6 position while her two most recent wins came at the No. 4 and No. 5 position. Loudili has won her last two matches, including clinching FIU's win over Yale on Mar. 18, while each of her wins have been in straight sets.
Freshman
Oyinlomo Quadre has held the hot hand riding a seven-match win streak while holding a 9-2 dual mark this season, highlighted by a 6-1 mark at the No. 3 position, while
Yasmine Kabbaj follows with six wins at the top spot having won five of her last six completed matches.
Additionally,
Kamila Umarova has found her rhythm as of recent, tallying three straight at the No. 4 position over the last three matches to even her dual record at 4-4.
