ELKHART, Ind. (Mar. 9, 2022) – Swimming opened the CSCAA National Invite Championships on Thursday, with the team scoring 140 points and on the first day.

Freshman
Nicole Frank earned the Panthers' highest finish of the day, taking gold in the 200-IM with a 1:58.99.

Fellow freshman
Oumy Diop took third in the 50-Fly with a time of a 24.31.
Â
The relay teams performed well placing in the top 10 in both races, scoring 64 total points.
Jessica Shpilko, Diop,
Var Erlingsdottir Eidesgaard and
Delaine Goll took 10th in the 200-free relay (1:33.12), while the team of
Harliai Curthoys-Davies, Goll, Eidesgaard and Diop took 6th in 400-medley (3:40.35).

Shpilko put in top 10 time in the 50-fly to score 11 points.

FIU also scored points in two B-Final races. Shpoliko earned a point in the 50-free with
Ingrid Huszar and Goll finishimg 12th and 11th, respectively, adding 19 points to the team total.

At the end of the day the Panthers sit in 8th out of 51 teams.

Day 2 of the National Invite starts on Friday with prelims set for 9:30 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m..
