DALLAS, Texas – FIU women's tennis'
Oyinlomo Quadre was named the Conference USA Tennis Athlete of the Week presented by Blenders Eyewear, announced the league office on Wednesday, as the nod marks Quadre's second weekly honor this season.

The Lekki, Nigeria, native has put forth a superb freshman campaign thus far for the 38
th-ranked Panthers, as Quadre earns weekly recognition after corralling wins in both doubles and singles – including the match clincher - en route to FIU cruising to a 6-1 victory over FAU to conclude the regular season at 15-4 overall and 3-1 in the Conference USA last Friday, April 7.

The freshman added her team-high 15
th dual doubles victory of the season and 13
th at the No. 2 position alongside teammate
Yasmine Kabbaj to clinch the doubles point against the Owls, earning the duo a No. 84 ranking in this week's ITA National Doubles Rankings. Quadre then extended her singles win streak to 10 matches, securing the clincher at No. 3 singles in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, over FAU's Gomez O'Hayon to add her 12
th dual singles win – matching a team-high on the season.

Quadre holds a 15-4 doubles record for the season, highlighted by a 13-4 mark at No. 2 doubles, while sitting at a remarkable 12-2 mark in dual singles action. The freshman has dominated at the No. 3 position with a 9-1 record, while sitting 2-1 at No. 4 singles and also holding a win at the No. 2 position.
