PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - FIU's Karissa Kilby capped the final round of action at the NCAA Palm Beach Regional, held at PGA Nationl Resort, on Wednesday afternoon, as Kilby (+8) finished tied for 28th to conclude her sophomore season with the third lowest score among the field's six individuals.

Miami's Sara Byrne (-2) emerged out of the NCAA Palm Beach Regional as the field's individual automatic qualifier in second place overall, while Princeton's Yanjun Liu (+7) finished just one stroke ahead of Kilby tied for 25th.

The sophomore finished strong on the final day of action with an even-par performance (72), including a pair of birdies, to vault 14 spots up in the individual leaderboard with a total score of 224 for the tournament. Additionally, Kilby parred 35 of the tournament's 54 holes.

Kilby provided another exceptional season for the Panthers in her second year with the program, as she collected four top-10 finishes, including a pair of runner-up finishes, and three top-20 finishes through eight tournaments for the 2022-23 season.

Additionally, the sophomore finished par or better in nine rounds this season, highlighted by a career low performance at the Johnie Imes Invitational on Sept. 28 with a 2-under-par 214 to finish runner-up. Kilby also finished runner-up at the Babs Steffens Invitational on Mar. 28 en route to seeing FIU secure its first tournament victory since 2019.
