Decorated senior Queshun Watson-Riggins took the bronze medal in the long jump with a mark of 7.42m (-0.8m/s) to earn six points for FIU. On the women's side, freshman Fabrienne Foster earned her first medal as a Panther with a mark of 49.91m in the discus. It was Foster's highest finish in any competition at FIU.

"Queshun has been in big moments before, and it was great to see him up on the podium once more," said FIU head coach Ryan Heberling. "Fabrienne has been working really hard, and is just scratching the surface of what she's capable of down the road."

FIU also strong a number of strong performances across the board to add to their team score. Kayden Cecil finished just off the podium in the pole vault with a mark of 4.75m for fourth. Qua'liyyah Taylor placed fifth in the discus, while Desmond Doreceus earned an eighth place mark in the event.

On the track, two Panthers advanced out of the prelims to tomorrow's finals. Senior Tyler Rhodes placed seventh in the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.24, while Lisa Adjouadi placed 11th in the 1500 at 4:43. Thomas Morreal, Disner Moreno, Sabrina Gomez, and Daira Deicmane all narrowly missed on qualifying for the finals in their respective events.

Sunday's final day of action begins at 1 p.m. with the women's shot put. The running finals will start at 6 p.m. with the men's 4x100m relay. An awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the 4x400m relay.
