MIAMI – The FIU football team officially got things rolling for the 2023 campaign, its second under head coach
Mike MacIntyre, with its first practice of preseason camp despite some South Florida rain on Wednesday morning as it begins preparations for the season opener on Saturday, August 26 at Louisiana Tech (9 p.m. ET/CBS Sports Network).
The Panthers worked out in helmets and shells and participated in numerous positional and team periods during the opening practice session.
FIU will return to the practice fields on Thursday beginning at 7 a.m. as they continue with the second of 20 preseason camp practices leading up to the opening week of the season.
The Panthers return a total of 57 letterwinners and 16 starters from last season's squad.

PRESEASON CAMP SCHEDULE
All practices will take place at the FIU Football Practice Facility – which is located adjacent to Ocean Bank Arena on the south side - on East Campus Circle and directly across from the FIU Campus Recreation Center.

rpress@fiu.edu) 24 hours prior to the practice session they are planning to attend to request and coordinate the receipt of practice media credentials upon arrival.
