Karissa Kilby posted a fourth-place overall finish, while graduate
Agustina Gomez Cisterna tied for 10th overall to lead the FIU Women's Golf Team at the 54-hole Jennifer Duke Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Losantiville Country Club in Cincinnati.
The Panthers finished sixth overall at the 11-team event after shooting a combined 902 (+62) over three rounds. FIU was eight shots behind fifth-place Arkansas State and nine from fourth-place and host institution Cincinnati.
"Karissa and Tina (Augustina) opened the year with top ten finishes, and I am really proud of them for their performance," FIU head coach John Koskinen said. "They are great leaders and will each be a big part of our success this year."
Kilby paced the Panthers with a three-round total of 216 (+6) in finishing fourth among all individuals. She highlighted the event with a second round score of 69 – after opening with a 74 and closing out with a total of 73 over the final 18.
Gomez Cisterna tabbed a three-round score of 220 (+10) in tying for 10th place overall. She opened with a 73 before closing out the tournament with scores of 72 and 75.
