MIAMI - The FIU women's swimming and diving team hosts its last home dual-meet of the season this Saturday, Jan. 20, when the Panthers welcome Florida Gulf Coast to the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center on Senior Day, with competition beginning at 11 a.m.

Prior to the meet, FIU will recognize seniors Madeleine Anderson, Delaney Biro, Paige Burrell, Christie Chue, Ryan Flynn, Delaine Goll, Alexa Lemus Hernandez, Ellie Maradyn, Mikaela Starr, and Mia Zahab

The Panthers are set to return to dual-meet competition for the first time since September when they faced the Miami Hurricanes on Sep. 27.
 
FIU last competed in the FIU Sprint Invite on Wednesday, Jan. 4 as the Blue & Gold took home first place for a total of 636 points from the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center, racking up a total of four-first place finishes as a team.
 
Standout senior Christie Chue shined at the invite for a total of three-first places finishes in the 50-breast, 100-free, 100-breast while also marking a top-three finish in the 100-IM. Her performance propelled her to a third AAC Swimmer of the Week honor.
 
On the boards, Burrell swept both events, taking home first in the 1-mtr (295.95) and 3-mtr (327.55) to earn her second AAC Diver of the Week award.
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
 
The FGCU Eagles have competed in seven dual meets this season and own a 4-3 record. The Eaglesl are coming off a pair of wins on the road, taking down North Florida 130-75 on Friday, Jan. 12, then followed it up with a victory at Georgia Southern, 129-114 on Saturday, Jan. 13.
 
Saturday's contest will mark the 18^th head-to-head meeting between FGCU and FIU with the Panthers winning the last six dual-meets. Last year, FIU won 204-95 from Fort Myers on Jan. 18, highlighted by eight first-place finishes.
 
UP NEXT
The Panthers are set to head to Boca Raton for a dual-meet against the Florida Atlantic Owls. Events are set to begin at 10 a.m.
