MIAMI — FIU volleyball's Mandi Morioka was honored by Conference USA (CUSA) as a member of its 2024 All-Academic Team, as announced on Friday afternoon. 

Morioka, a junior libero, currently holds a 3.94 GPA, majoring in International Business and Marketing. She is having a standout season on the court as well, sitting first in CUSA In total digs and 16th-nationally (498) and second in digs per set (4.37). 

The Torrance, Calif. native earned the CUSA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 28. She has matched her career-high of 24 total digs twice this season. 

Morioka also has the most service aces (28) and second-most assists (101) among all liberos in CUSA. She has racked up 20-plus digs in 9-of-16 CUSA matches this season. 

This is the first career CUSA All-Academic honor for Morioka.
