MIAMI — FIU's men's basketball program will welcome Howard to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on Monday, Nov. 18 for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
The Panthers (1-2) enter this tilt with the Bison (2-2) fresh off a 110-55 win over Florida National.
This game will have a special sponsorship with Starry, a soda brand (formerly Sierra Mist), providing several activations throughout the evening. Pre-game, samples of the soda will be given to fans, and the first 500 fans will be provided with Starry-branded rally towels.
During the game, there will be a halftime three-point contest in which the winning contestant will win a Starry prize pack. Following the contest, fans will be given a full can of the soda to take home.

FIU was led by Okechukwu Okeke, who scored 18 points in 22 minutes and grabbed 10 rebounds. Jayden Brewer and Vianney Salatchoum each had 16 points in support.
Freshman Ashton Williamson earned his first start and had 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals. George Pridgett, Jr. made four threes and had 12 points. The Panthers led 50-25 at the half and had a total of 12 players score in the game.
FIU is 0-2 all-time against Howard, last suffering a 71-59 defeat on the road in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 13, 2022. Dashon Gittens is FIU's lone remaining starter from that tilt. Brewer, Jaden Grant and Dante Wilcox all appeared in that contest.
SCOUTING HOWARD
The Bison most recently defeated Tenessee State in overtime at the HBCU All-Stars Challenge on Wednesday, Nov. 13. In an 88-84 win, Howard was led by Blake Harper's 18 points. Bryce Harris, Marcus Dockery, Dom Campbell and Anwar Gill all scored in double digits.
As a team, the Bison are off to a hot-shooting start, making 43-of-99 three-pointers so far. Howard's two defeats are to No. 1 Kansas, 87-57, and Missouri, 77-62.
