MIAMI – The FIU swimming and diving program is set for a packed weekend as swimming heads to Nova Southeastern for a dual-meet against NSU and Lynn, while diving takes on Florida Atlantic on Friday in Coral Springs and on Saturday from Biscayne Bay.

FIU heads to Davie for a second straight year, taking on the defending Division II National Champions NSU for the second time this season after appearing in the TYR Fall Classic. It'll also be the second appearance for FIU against the Fighting Knights of Lynn appearing in the same classic.
Last season, the Panthers took down both NSU/Lynn earning a 229-162 victory over NSU and 299-92 win vs Lynn while diving won both events.
Diving takes on the Owls of Florida Atlantic platform events on Friday in Coral Springs at 11 a.m. and 1/3-meter events at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
LAST TIME OUT
FIU returns to competition for the first time in two weeks, coming off a 200-99 loss to SMU on Oct. 26 from the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center.
The Panthers recorded 11 top-three finishes and one first-place finish in the 100-fly from
Oumy Diop (55.79). In addition, Diop earned second on the 200-medley relay team (1:41.58).
Freshman
Sally Olsson earned two top-three finishes vs SMU including second in the 200-breast (2:18.67) and third in 100-breast (1:04.25).
On the boards, graduate student
Av Osero placed first for a second straight meet in the 1-meter (288.68) vs SMU. Her score posted a zone cut. Osero finished fifth in the 3-meter for a 260.70.
Freshman
Brooke Megdall placed second in the 3-meter event for a score of 273.15, earning her AAC Freshman Diver of the Week for her efforts.
Additionally, the Windsor, Ontario native secured a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter event with a score of 246.98.
Both scores mark season-highs respectively for Megdall in her freshman season.
UP NEXT
FIU travels to West Lafayette, Ind for the Purdue Invitational from Nov. 21 – Nov. 24 for midseason.
