MIAMI — FIU's track and field programs officially set their slates for 2025, as announced on Monday afternoon.
The Panther women will compete in both the indoor and outdoor season while the Panther men will join the fold for the outdoor competition, beginning in late March.
FIU's women will compete in 17 total events between the indoor and outdoor season, highlighted by the CUSA Championships and NCAA Championships in each season.
The Panther women are participating in all high-major indoor events in 2025, traveling to Gainesville twice (Jan. 17 and Jan. 24-25), Rutgers/New York (Jan. 31) and Vanderbilt (Feb. 14-15). These events will be utilized to build up to the indoor championship season, first the CUSA Indoor Championships Feb. 28-March 1 in Lychburg, Va. and then the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., March 14-15.
In the outdoor spring season, FIU's men will join the women and compete with an identical schedule, starting with two events at nearby-Miami (March 22-23 and March 28-29). They will also feature in events at Texas (March 26-29), Florida (April 4-5), Virginia (April 18-19), UCF (April 25-26) and UNF (May 2-3). Once again, this all leads up to the CUSA Outdoor Championships on May 16-18 in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The outdoor slate with culminate with the NCAA East Regionals in Jacksonville, Fla May 28-31 and the NCAA Outdoor Championships at historic Heyward Field in Eugene, Ore.
