The Panthers are coming off a 1-2 weekend at the FGCU MTE, defeating Cal State Bakersfield, but falling to Northeastern and host-FGCU.
Dashon Gittens led FIU to victory over CSU Bakersfield, making both the game-tying three to send the game to overtime and the game-winning layup to secure the Panther victory. Gittens finished with 16 points, three rebounds and two assists in the win.
Overall, Jayden Brewer has led the offensive effort with his 14.4 points per game, ninth-most in CUSA. Freshman Ashton Williamson has made a big impact so far, averaging a team-high 3.3 assists per game and also 9.0 ppg and 3.9 rpg.
