IRVING, Texas – FIU diver Ruska Lehtonen was named the American Athletic Conference swimmer of the week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon. 

Lehtonen rang up a first-place in the 1-meter for a total score of 255.98 in the dual-meet victory at FGCU on Saturday, Feb. 3. In addition, the Helsinki, Finland native scored a 252.45 in the 3-meter for a second-place finish.

It marks as the second time this season Lehtonen has been honored as the AAC diver of the week, earning the award for the week of Oct. 3.
