Miami, Fla. – The No. 12 FIU Beach Volleyball Team will play their only home match of the year this weekend at the FIU Beach Volleyball Courts, where they will welcome Palm Beach Atlantic, Barry University and Emmanuel University. The event will take place over a two-day period, from Friday March 1-Saturday March 2. Times for each of the Panthers' four matches are listed below.

The Panthers are looking to continue their hot start to the season, coming in at 5-0 after sweeping the Jacksonville Invitational and moving up in the national rankings from No. 13 to No. 12.
This is Barry's inaugural year with a beach volleyball team. The Buccaneers have started out the season 1-3, getting swept 5-0 in their first three matches before winning their first match in program history against St. John's River 3-2.
Emmanuel University has had a nice start to their season, going 6-2 over their first eight games. However, the FIU Invite will be the first time the Lions play a Division-1 opponent this season, and the first time the two programs will play each other in their respective program histories, as this is the first season Emmanuel will have a Beach Volleyball program.
After starting the season 3-0, Palm Beach Atlantic dropped every match of the Jacksonville Invite, including getting swept by FIU 5-0 in their last match of the invitational. The Sailfish will look to build off a great year last season where they went 20-14, but will have to fight through the likes of Barry, Emmanuel and of course the NO. 12 FIU Panthers.
