Box Score MIAMI — FIU's 28th-ranked women's tennis program won its 10th consecutive match, defeating East Tennessee State 4-1 on Friday afternoon.
The Panthers (11-2) maintained their undefeated home record with their 10th-straight win overall on Friday. FIU won the doubles point and 3-of-4 completed singles matches to secure the win.
Valery Gynina teamed up with Katerina Mandelikova in the top doubles pairing and the duo cruised to a 6-1 win. Ekaterina Khairutdinova and Salma Loudili followed that with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles to put the Panthers ahead 1-0.
Khairutdinova also delivered a singles victory, playing at No. 1 singles, with a 7-6 (5), 6-0 win over her opponent from ETSU. Mandelikova at. No. 3 singles won both sets by identical 6-4 scores.
Loudili also earned a singles victory, playing at No. 4 , 7-5, 6-2. ETSU's lone win came at No. 6 singles.
