FIU carries two student-athletes into the competition, one qualified swimmer in senior Christie Chue and one qualified diver in graduate student Paige Burrell.

The selection for Chue marks the 13th consecutive year that an FIU swimmer has been invited to compete at the NCAA Championships. The streak currently stands as the longest among all mid-major swimming and diving programs.

Chue is set to compete in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke. Currently, the Singapore swimmer sits 24th in the nation for the 100 breast (59.25), and 20th in the 200 breast (2:07.99). Chue holds program records in both events as she heads to her third consecutive NCAA championship. Last season, the senior earned Honorable All-America citations in the 100 breast, placing 16th overall.

At the diving well, Burrell will compete in the 1-meter on Thursday afternoon and 3-meter on Friday. Burrell finished eighth in the 1-meter event at last week's Zone B Championships, also held in Athens. In addition, the graduate student took home eighth on the 3-meter, set to compete in the 3-meter for the first time in her collegiate career. The Lansdale, Pa. native competed in last year's NCAA Championships in the 1-meter.
