MIAMI – The FIU swimming & diving program has announced a partnership with the City of Doral and Doral Central Park, naming the venue as the new home for all FIU home meets for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
"Doral has built an outstanding facility, and we are thrilled to partner with them as our new home pool," said FIU head swimming & diving coach
Randy Horner. "While we loved competing at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center, we're excited to have a new location that's closer for our fans and that will enhance our student-athletes' experience this season."
The brand-new aquatic center, located within the 78-acre Doral Central Park, officially opened in mid-May 2025. All home meets will be free to attend, with complimentary parking, at 3005 NW 92nd Ave, Doral, FL 33172.
The facility features:
- A 50-meter Olympic-size competition pool with seating for approximately 540 spectators, ideal for high-level swim meets and accommodating both long- and short-course formats.
- A diving board setup for 1-meter and 3-meter competitions.A six-lane, 25-yard training pool, perfect for athlete practice and swim lessons.
- Full support amenities, including locker rooms, concessions, grandstand seating, Wi‑Fi, parking, and dedicated drop-off zones.
Conveniently located just 15 minutes from FIU's Modesto Maidique Campus, the Doral Aquatic Center will host all six of FIU's home meets. The season opens with the annual FIU TYR Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 3, concluding Saturday, Oct. 4.
