Burrell competed in the 1-meter and placed 24th among 51 divers in the preliminary round with a score of 260.35. It marks the highest placement for an FIU diver in the 1-meter at the NCAA Championships.

In addition, it is the highest finish and score for the Lansdale, Pa. native in the 1-meter event after placing 41st with a 237.50 score last year.
