MIAMI – FIU Athletics and Ocean Bank, a Member FDIC, are proud to announce the enhancement of their longstanding partnership, and their shared commitment to making an impact on the lives of FIU's student-athletes both on and off the playing surface.
 
The partnership, which includes an extension to the naming right for the Ocean Bank Convocation Center, will run for the next 10 years.  The bank's $5.6 million donation will enhance the student-athlete experience and support facilities and the general operating requirement of FIU Athletics.
 
The bank's commitment more than quadruples its previous donation of $1.25 million over five years.

I would like to thank Agostinho Alfonso Macedo, President, Chairman and CEO of Ocean Bank for the dedicated and consistent support of FIU Athletics," FIU Director of Athletics Scott Carr said.  "The bank's commitment to increasing their financial support as well as doubling the term, signifies a defining moment in our partnership."
 
Over the next 10 years, Ocean Bank will maintain a prominent presence within one of FIU's premier campus facilities, The Ocean Bank Convocation Center, which is the home to the FIU men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball programs.

The partnership is a testament of the commitment between FIU Athletics and Ocean Bank to foster a culture of excellence and opportunities for student-athletes, while also enhancing the overall athletic experience for fans and supporters.
