MIAMI – More academic accolades are rolling in for the FIU Athletics Department, as a total of 69 student-athletes were awarded the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.
Winners were announced on Wednesday by conference officials.
Student-athletes awarded the Commissioner's Academic Medal must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.
The baseball team led the way for the Panthers with a total of 12 honorees.
Other team totals included football (9), beach volleyball (9), women's soccer (9), softball (7), women's track & field (5), men's basketball (4), women's cross country (4), women's tennis (3), volleyball (3), women's golf (2), women's cross country (1) and men's track & field (1).
