Guida has shined in his senior campaign donning the Blue and Gold. The senior has been the Panther's star the past two seasons as the primary designated hitter, having played in all 54 games in 2024. He leads the team in RBI (55), already a career-high, doubles (18), batting average (.344) while belting nine homers. This season, the righty bat logged a 32 on-base streak, the longest on-base streak for a Panther this season. In CUSA play this year, Guida has 25 RBI (10

Becerra places his name to the Second Team after a productive year in the outfield. The Hialeah, Fla. native hit .294 in 36 starts in 2024 with six homers and 25 RBI. In CUSA play, Becerra paced second on the team with a .362 batting average with 16 runs driven in and belted four home runs. Becerra put his name in the FIU record book, securing the second cycle in program history on and first since 1980 when Joe Hughes earned the feat on March 23, 1980 vs UCF. Becerra went 5-for-6 on Saturday, April 20 at New Mexico State alongside seven runs driven in and had the eventual game-winning hit in the ninth alongside the cycle. With his efforts, Becerra won Conference USA hitter of the week alongside winning the NCBWA (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association) Co-Hitter of the Week honor. On a national stage, the senior from Hialeah, Fla.
was featured on ESPN's SportsCenter on Sunday, April 21 for his performance on Saturday.
It was a dominating year for
Orlando Hernandez on the mound with a career year. The righty had his best season at FIU with an ERA of 1.57 in 13 appearances, logging 34.1 innings, allowing just six earned runs. He posted a 2-1 record in addition to a pair of saves. From March 3
rd- March 28
th, Hernandez did not allow an earned run 12.2 innings pitched in five appearances. It is the first honor of Hernandez's career.
West put together a solid season in his first year at FIU. The South Florida State College transfer was the Panther's primary leadoff hitter in 48 starts, second on the team in batting average (.335) while leading the offense with a 1.067 OPS. The redshirt junior posted notable numbers across his batting line with 15 doubles (second on team) two triples, ten homers and 40 RBI. He began the season on a tear, going 10-for-12 with nine RBI and two homers in his first three games played. This led to him being the first Conference USA hitter of the week in 2024 for his efforts. In CUSA play, West hit .349 in 19 games with 25 RBI (tied team-lead), nine doubles (team-lead) and six home runs.
