Men's Soccer Unveils 2024 Schedule

FIU host six regular season matches at FIU Soccer Stadium

MIAMI – The FIU men's soccer team released its 2024 schedule on Thursday, announcing a 15-game slate with six matches against teams that competed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Coming off a third-straight 10-win season and NCAA tournament berth, the Panthers open the season with a home match against Seton Hall on Thursday, Aug. 22 for the first of 6 games at FIU Soccer Stadium.

Following the home opener, FIU prepares for a three-game non-conference road trip starting in DeLand, Fla. with a in-state matchup at Stetson on Monday, Aug. 26. The Panthers then head to the east coast for a weekend trip, beginning at Chapel Hill with a marquee matchup against North Carolina on Thursday, Aug. 29. FIU took on the Tar Heels in North Carolina in 2022 securing a 2-1 victory. The Blue and Gold then travel out to Washington D.C. for an Monday matinee matchup at Georgetown on Sep. 2.

After the road-swing, FIU comes back to the 305 set to host rivals, the UCF Knights on Wednesday, Sep. 11 for a 7 p.m. kick.  Following the home match., the Panthers get right back on the road for a second three-game road swing, beginning with a trip to Arkansas facing Central Arkansas on Sep. 15 in Conway, Ark. Five days later, FIU returns to the Sunshine State to begin American Athletic Conference play heading to Tampa to face South Florida on Sep. 20. The road swing closes out with a visit to Dallas, Tx. against first-year ACC member SMU Mustangs on Wednesday, Sep. 25 at 7 p.m.

Heading into late September, the Panthers open their first homestand of the year, taking on Tulsa on Sunday, Sep. 29 and six days later with a matchup vs UAB on Saturday, Oct. 5 for a 7 p.m. kick. On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Panthers head to North Carolina to face AAC foe Charlotte eyeing a fourth straight win against the 49ers. FIU faces their final. Non-conference opponent of the season with a midweek matchup at VCU on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from Richmond, Va.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, the Panthers prepare for the final stretch of the season, first with a date with rival, the Florida Atlantic Owls from FIU Soccer Stadium before heading to Philadelphia, Pa. to take on the Temple Owls in the final road match of the season on Saturday, Oct. 26. 

The regular season slate ends on Friday, Nov 1 with a matchup at home vs Memphis at 7 p.m..

The American Athletic Conference tournament will take place from Nov. 5-12, with six teams entering the playoff field and the top two seeds receiving a first-round bye. First round matchups will be hosted at on-campus sites of the higher seed on Nov. 6, while both the semifinals and Finals will take place at the No. 1 seed's campus.

All home matches will be streamed on ESPN+. Full broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
