MIAMI — FIU's men's basketball program announced its full 2024-25 schedule on Tuesday afternoon, featuring a total of 31 games, 18 in Conference USA (CUSA) play.
The Panthers enter their sixth season under head coach Jeremy Ballard, following a first round CUSA Tournament victory over Jacksonville State, the program's first postseason win since 2020.
FIU will add newcomer-Kennesaw State to its CUSA slate for an even 18 conference matchups, all of which feature a home-and-home. The Panthers have six home non-conference games and will play 10 of their 13 non-conference tilts in the state of Florida.

FIU opens its season on the road at Rice University, out of the American Conference, on Nov. 5 in Houston, Texas. The road trip continues to Cedar City, Utah for a date with Southern Utah, a Western Athletic Conference (WAC) opponent, on Nov. 9.
The Panthers' home opener will feature a matchup with Florida National on Nov. 14. FIU continues its season-opening homestand against Howard on Nov. 18, a program which advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season.
FIU continues its run in the Sunshine State as a participant in the Jersey Mike's Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. The Panthers will take on Northeastern, Cal State Bakersfield and host-FGCU, Nov. 22-24, respectively.
FIU begins December against in-state rival Florida Atlantic at home on Dec. 4. The Panthers then take on the New College of Florida on Dec. 6. FIU then has a two-game road trip against Stetson, from the Orlando area, on Dec. 14 and then East Carolina on Dec. 17.
The Panthers close 2024 at home vs. IU Indy on Dec. 21 and Utah Tech on Dec. 30. FIU's home stand continues into CUSA play with its opening conference weekend vs. Middle Tennessee on Jan. 2 and Western Kentucky on Jan. 4.
The first road CUSA trip takes the Panthers to Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston on Jan. 9 and 11, respectively. FIU then has three consecutive CUSA games at home, facing off with New Mexico State (Jan. 16), UTEP (Jan. 18) and Liberty (Jan. 25).
The Panthers close out their first round of games with CUSA opponents with a trip to Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State on Jan. 30 and Feb. 1, respectively. February continues at home with last season's CUSA Regular Season Champions Sam Houston (Feb. 6) and follows with Louisiana Tech (Feb. 8).
FIU then has a three-game road trip, taking on UTEP (Feb. 13), New Mexico State (Feb. 15) and Liberty (Feb. 22). The Panthers' final regular season home stand will be against Kennesaw State and Jacksonville State on Feb. 27 and March 1, respectively.
FIU wraps up its regular season on the road on March 6 vs. Western Kentucky and March 8, taking on Middle Tennessee. The Panthers will then prepare for the second year of the CUSA Basketball Tournament in Huntsville, Ala. from March 11-15 at Propst Arena.
